Welcome
We’re a church in Chapel Hill following Jesus together for God’s glory, our joy, and the good of all people.
We gather for worship EVERY SUNDAY AT 10AM.
Where?
THE CENTER THEATER COMPANY at 300 E Main St G, Carrboro, NC 27510
What to Expect
Our worship gathering is approximately 90 minutes long and is marked by the elements described below. We will explain everything we are doing throughout the time so you do not feel out of place or confused.
Scripture
We read the Scriptures aloud during our worship gathering. We want to be a community shaped by God’s word, therefore our service has multiple scripture readings throughout.
Congregational Singing
We sing a mixture of old and new songs that help us remember and celebrate the gospel in a simple way that highlights the congregation’s voice.
Prayer
We pray together each week, typically with various members leading us in prayer.
Expository Preaching
Every week, we sit under biblical teaching that explains and applies a specific passage of the Bible to help us know and follow Jesus with our whole lives. We typically work through whole books of the Bible, one passage at a time each week.
Communion
We respond to God’s word in a number of ways, but one way we respond corporately is by taking the Lord’s Supper each week. We ask that only Christians in good standing with their local church join us in observing communion.
Family Worship
Your kids of any age are welcome in the worship gathering alongside the family of faith— we don’t mind a little noise! Kids are deeply shaped by our worship and including them in this time helps prepare them to be a part of the church’s gathering to worship Jesus together.
We know sitting in a service may be an adjustment for kids, so if you need something for your child to help them get used to being in the gathering with us, please visit our RCC Kids area. We have activities and other items that we would love to let them use while they are with us. We also have a nursing mom’s area where moms can listen in on the gathering while caring for their baby.
RCC Kids
We have childcare from walkers through 4 years old. You can check-in and drop off little ones up to 15 minutes before the service begins. Kids 5 and older are invited into service with the rest of the congregation.
Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code. Dress how you normally would!
Where can I park?
Please park in the Carrboro Municipal Parking Deck beside the theater or in the gravel lot behind. Keeping the retail spots in front of the theater open for the surrounding businesses helps us be good neighbors!
