At Risen Christ Church, the term “small group” serves as an umbrella for various group types: Home Groups, Bible Studies, Book Studies, Discipleship Groups, Equip Groups, and Ministry Groups. Other types may emerge as needed.
Purpose of Small Groups
Small groups provide a focused context for fulfilling our covenant commitments to one another. While all groups share common values, each focuses on specific discipleship priorities rather than trying to address every aspect of spiritual growth.
Are Small Groups Required?
Participation in small groups is encouraged but not mandatory. We prioritize whole-church gatherings while recognizing the benefits of small group involvement. Small groups enhance discipleship but do not replace the local church. They are tools to aid our walk with Christ, not requirements for church membership.
We aim to ensure our values are not dependent on small group participation but are enriched through it, helping us follow Christ together in meaningful ways.
